Relay for Life, 2nd Amendment Rights

I am sure that this idea will fall on deaf ears, but wouldn't it be the truest way to save a life to have a doctor?  I mean how many doctors in this world could complain about having patients?

Either way, I see it this way.

We do have gun problems in America.
We have issues with people who are not seeing physicians and seek to buy guns and harm others.

A physician can be instrumental in the idea of having a peaceful society.
Why not have all gun owners see physicians on a regular basis.  Say at least once a year.

After all, who is in their right mind to think that all people off the street are responsible enough to own a gun which can be use to of course end someone else's life in the instant a trigger is pulled.

So let the gun enthusiasts get a physician.  Statistically speaking, I think it would be more safe to see a doctor once a year and perhaps have your future ensured by diagnosis and treatment of disease early on than you might actually save your own life by carrying a fire arm.

And in the situation that a physician feels a person may or may not be a stabile citizen, refer the patient to a psychiatrist.

Either way, there is a system of checks and balances.

Guns should be lawful and guns should not be a threat to others.

Lets have anyone who wants a gun get a note from his doctor that he or she is "ok".
