Dear Rachel,
I enjoy your show very much. You are right on almost and dare I say, all the time. I have not yet disagreed with your journalism input. But that said, I must say that your image is clinically annoying to me. I do like your hair cut and the idea that you dont need to wear earrings intrigues me. But that said, your refusal to decorate your adams apple with at least a simple necklace is quite disturbing and quite offensive. I realize that I am barking up a tree that will never reform. But that said, its a fact. Even I myself wear a chain. I do so for social and political reasons. I keep myself a chai on my chain which really noone needs to see. But that said, an unadorned neck especially on the television is just a simple foolish statement. You may have a slightly different lifestyle than the average ladies in America and that is no issue for my thoughts. But to refuse to adorn even the simplest of eye catching elements is to me a paganism that I request that you reconsider. I understand that being a lady, you are asked to make a change to that appearance often. This is where you can rebel, Rachel. Wear the same simple gold chain each day. In fact, as I do, don't even bother to remove it to sleep or shower. I don't. In that case, if expediency is the issue, you have no further excuse not to wear a necklace or chain of some sort. Good luck Rachel, we are watching.
Sincerely,
Craig Brenner, M.D.
ADDENDUM: note posted to 'liberal' (really left wing) web forum. Check out the commentary below. Also interestingly at the end of the thread so far, a blogger has posted Rachel Maddow high school year book photo. A girl with long blond hair, pearl earrings, an off shoulder black dress and of course, nicely added, a pearly neclkace. We never knew!!!!!!
