Understanding Sharia Law

When I think of Sharia law, I am always first to think of the severing of hands and even legs from the act of theft. This is clearly not going to be in a western civilizati­on. That said, Islam has some very smart tenets and one might be wise to study more about the islamic ways in some circumstan­ces.
