An Article or two this week discuss that in Beit Shemesh, a very ultra chassidic neighborhood in Israel, the idea of this war is hardly discussed and even perhaps not entirely known. People do not use electronic media and want to keep their world absent of the interersts of the remainder of the world. I made a few comments:

How do you call yourselves 'people of Hashem', when you do not even know what is going on in the G-dly world? I disagree that this is the way our G-d wants us to think and work in life. G-d is a god of compassion and enlightenment and if you want to live in a bubble, so goes your whole future. Your G-d is not a god of compassion and enlightenment but now your G-d is a god of closed doors. Sorry that is not Hashem.
Fear drives insanity. I would suppose that if you love Hashem you have 2 choices by the Beit Shemesh message. Join and assimylate go their super orthodox way or just keep the G-dly commandments and be yourself. G-d most likely wants you to be true to your own soul. So therein lies the hypocrisy. To keep our commandments, super shows of faith are not Divine but ordinary expressions are heavenly. Regardless how you feel about living in a pure culture, Israel is not the culprit in the death of the shadows that haunt us. So therefore, purity of culture is explicitly against the dignity of human success and a Beit Shemesh approach to law and order fails. No wonder why the number of ill returns in the news from this hardly seen place.
